I strongly believe in helping others but i get tired constantly shelling money out to people. Here are some ways you can help make the world a better place and it won’t cost you a penny.

  • Sweep outside your house
  • Collect vouchers from Supermarkets – even if you don’t intend using them – and drop them into your local charity shop.
  • Drop any unwanted clothes or toiletries into your local women’s refuge.
  • Donate unwanted duvets to your local Dogs Trust
  • Donate rags to¬†Liberties Recycling
  • Buy upcycled¬†furniture from the non-profit community scheme Busy Bee Furniture in Crumlin.

Making Do

January 26, 2012

Saw a great tip on Superscrimpers programme on Channel 4 the other night. Apparantly the nets you get onions in are great for scrubbing off stains!

Also starting reading a blog by a woman who has vowed not to buy any unessential items in 2012 and to make do with what she has. I admire her ambition. Don’t think i have the willpower to do without retail therapy.

December 12, 2011

Just saw that someone is giving away beautiful shutters on Freetradeireland.com. If they fit your windows they’ll be such a bargain.
